The Public Awareness Committee brings together representatives from diverse organizations who work in marketing, social media, and outreach. Members collaborate with local organizations and community members to promote stigma reduction, encourage help-seeking behavior, increase awareness of local resources, and support community-initiated care. The committee also focuses on advocacy and collective action campaigns that respond to current community needs.
At an upcoming PAC meeting, TYDE will present its new teen toolkit, developed by teens for teens to help young people build healthy relationships with social media and learn strategies for mindful social media use. This presentation will offer an opportunity to learn about youth-centered resources and explore ways to share them with the community.
